What if I miss a session without notifying my therapist or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice?

Scheduling a therapy session involves your therapist reserving a time set aside especially for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you please do so in accordance with our Cancellation Policy below. We appreciate your understanding!

Samata Health Cancellation Policy

Late Cancellations & Missed Appointments

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the session start time. All appointments must be canceled or rescheduled on Samata Health’s platform using our scheduling tools.

All other late cancellations and missed appointments will be subject to our Cancellation Policy:

  • For Clients Using Employer-Sponsored Sessions: For the first late cancellation, your employer will be charged 50% of the session cost. After this, for any additional late cancellations and/or missed appointments, your employer will be charged 50% of the session cost, and one session will be deducted from your employer-sponsored balance.
  • For Clients Paying Out of Pocket: If you are paying out of pocket for your sessions, you will be charged 50% of the session cost for each late cancellation or missed appointment.

Recurring Appointments

If you have arranged with your therapist to have recurring appointments on your schedule, please note you may cancel individual sessions within your recurring series.

Wait Time

Due to the length of time provided for each appointment, it is critical that you arrive on time for your appointments. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, it will be considered a no-show or late cancellation, and will be subject to our Cancellation Policy above. You will also need to reschedule your appointment for another date and time.

Frequent Cancellations & Missed Appointments

Repeated late cancellations (3 or more in 6 months or 2 consecutive appointments) and/or repeated no-shows may result in the termination of therapy with your provider.
