What are the eligibility requirements for therapists on your platform?

To join our platform, therapists must meet the following requirements:

1. Education: All therapists on the Samata Health platform must have completed a graduate degree (Master’s, PhD, or PsyD) in a relevant field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Clinical Mental Health Counseling, etc.).
2. Licensure: All therapists on the Samata Health platform must have:
   1. Passed the required licensing exam and registered with the state.
   2. Maintain an active, unrestricted license to practice therapy in your state.

By participating, therapists agree to maintain their applicable license—whether independent or limited—throughout their time on the platform, following all state regulations and professional obligations.

Frequently Asked Question: Can provisionally licensed (or limited licensed) providers join the platform?

Yes! For these candidates, they must:

1. Have met all requirements listed above.
2. Work with a supervisor who permits them to see Samata Health clients under their supervision.
3. Ensure they comply with all supervision and legal requirements for their limited license.

Frequently Asked Question: Can interns apply?

Intern-level clinicians or those applying for a limited license, but who have not yet received one, are not eligible for the platform.

All applicants must have some form of licensure through their state.
